Easy to read, allowed me to appreciate and reflect on the grotty bits of life and not feel alone in them. Good to think things through, look for God's perspective on me and move forward. Written with honesty and humour. A book I can go back to at different times and learn new things about myself.

This book is a real source of encouragement. The author writes honestly, drawing on her experiences as a woman, as a wife and as a mother, tackling the issues many of us face trying to keep the plates of modern day life spinning. The book reminds us that God's perspective can sometimes be very different to ours, and when we see ourselves or a situation as rubbish, God sees the diamonds hidden within. If you've temporarily lost your way regarding the reality of who you are in Christ, this book will help you get back on track, in a practical, down to earth, real life way. It will encourage and build you up with positive reminders of our God who rescues us and loves us. Cathy writes with real passion, humour and warmth, and the relaxed conversational style makes this an easy book to read but with an important message for the modern day woman

I had the pleasure of hearing Cathy speak at our church service one Sunday. Three days later I had read Digging for Diamonds from cover to cover. Her humour, warmth, honesty and biblical knowledge made this the perfect first step on the journey of truly trusting that we are God's treasure. That I am God's treasure! With the opportunity to dig deep at the end of each easy to read chapter, and heartfelt prayers throughout to remind us that it is God who has planted these treasures within us, I look forward to going back and digging deep into those questions and seeing what God has in store for me.

A really good, honest read. A strong and frank challenge that stays with you once you are able to put it down. It feels I bit like having a very long cuppa with a brilliant friend who makes you laugh and tells you stuff like it really is. Highly recommend this book.

Have just finished this book in two sittings! Really pacey writing and a lively, upbeat style make for a delightful and easy read. Full of fun, including many personal anecdotes, but more importantly, packed with gems of wisdom and challenges to reflect on. A sound biblical base throughout this makes for a great personal or group study with helpful questions to ponder at the end of each chapter. Can't wait for the sequels, Giggling for Helium in particular sounds like it could really take off!

I loved this book. It was earthy and applicable but the content was rooted in authentic Bible based teaching. Cathy's love of life and her energy came through on every page. The questions were thought provoking and inspired me to want to look deeper into my own life. Read, read, read!!!

Really eay to read and written with her own voice speaking -so many important truths and will think about this for many weeks and months. Although easy to read cover to cover worth dipping into single chapters for refreshment and reminders. This would be a great small group study book.
