This Bible is great to take around with you or to church, due to its compact size and the text size is very readable too, which is a plus. I also really enjoy the fact that this is a straight-up text Bible, without marginal notes or references. It also has a word list at the end, defining archaic words used in the KJV and certain words that have a different definition now than they did 400 years ago. At only £9, this is a great Bible to get for you or a loved one. It really does its job!

A very nicely produced hardback Bible with a clean and clear typeface (although some may prefer that to be larger), WITHOUT the marginal notes of the translators. Pronunciation of proper names is NOT indicated in the text, but there is an appendix with 26 pages of proper names and their pronunciation, followed by a word list containing definitions of hundreds of KJV words which may be unfamiliar or used in an an unfamiliar sense. The Bible includes McCheyne's Bible reading scheme, but reduced to two readings daily so that it takes two years to complete rather than one. Contrary to Eden's advertising, it does NOT contain line-drawings (no great loss!) and it DOES contain eight very attractive Bible maps. Altogether a very nice Bible at a modest price.
