I wanted a bible towards the more 'word for word' end of bible translation and this revision of the New American Standard does that. I also wanted something which was clear to read as i am now late 60s and can't read as easily as I used to! This has very little bleed through from the back of the page (so many bibles suffer from this) and it is just the text with very few references cluttering the page. The cover is soft and flexible and the bible lies flat and is well made. I really recommend this bible.
