    It's a lovely looking Bible, but ultimately the pages are too thin to write on. Even pencil would emboss and show through. I had trouble reading the main text because multiple pages behind were showing. Weirdly, the regular (non-journalling) NIV bible I have has thicker pages! I returned this with a heavy heart because the leather-soft cover is beautiful and timeless, but as I wanted it for Bible journalling and taking notes, I much prefer the ESV Scripture Journals.
