This wonderful bible is everything I hoped it would be. I got it as a Christmas present for myself. As I love doodling and colouring, I wanted this to encourage me to look closer at the Bible, and that’s what it’s done. The illustrations vary from ornate and beautiful, to quirky and funky. Most of the well-known verses are printed out in beautiful fonts surrounded by decorations, which are just crying out to be coloured in. There is also plenty of room for personal notes in the outside margins of most of the pages. If you are a creative soul who loves to personalise your bible with colour and your own notes, I would strongly recommend this one.

This is a beautiful looking bible! The cover is not what I would call imitation leather. It is more like a fabric cover it also has a very subtle glittery shimmer which obviously does not show up in a photo but is a nice feature. I chose this bible over the plain cover and although this one cost more I do love the picture and the spine decoration. it is unashamedly a ladies/young woman's Bible! If you haven't come across a journaling bible let me tell you how it works. As you open it up there is a wide margin on both the outside pages. This bible has about 400 ready to colour scripture verses or one word like pray and love and courage etc and they have made use of the empty spaces with flower designs too. There are still plenty of empty margins and places for you to record or draw your own words too. The font is not too small. The colouring element of this Bible begins as soon as you open it up with a similar double page of the cover inside and the scripture of John 1:1. The first few pages are thicker and will stand up to colouring with markers. The main bible should only be coloured with pencils anything else will show through. If like me you have considered a journaling Bible but are a bit hesitant to draw your own designs then this bible is a good alternative and will give you confidence as you colour in the many scripture verses while meditating on the word of God!
