The Supernaturals: A New Children's Book Series by Andy Robb

Did you know that followers of Jesus have superpowers?

That’s the intriguing question I pose in my new children’s book series, The Supernaturals. Using contemporary characters to illustrate Biblical truths, The Supernaturals are all about helping children live a Spirit-filled life equipped with powers of healing, prophecy and more.

As with everything that I write, it is the overflow of my walk with Jesus. I encountered the love and power of the Holy Spirit back in 1988. Since then, I've made it my life pursuit to deepen my knowledge and experience of God and to help others do the same.

Not only have I seen my own children encounter the Holy Spirit in miraculous ways, but, it’s also become the focus of the children’s books I write and illustrate.

I have been privileged to author over 50 Christian children's books. In 2021 this culminated in the publication of The God Files, a NIV children’s Bible which I developed for Hodder Faith. It's aimed at helping children dive into the Bible and become world-changing agents of God in the process.

The God Files invites children to play their part in God’s story, inspired by the special agents of the Bible. Such as, Agent Nehemiah, who proved you could be a trustworthy leader. Or Agent Haggai who shared encouraging messages from God.

But what if there was a book series which showed children what being a follower of Jesus might look like, in the twenty-first century?

It’s great to read about inspiring biblical heroes. But how about creating some contemporary role models, so kids can apply biblical truth and Kingdom reality to their everyday lives in the here and now.

That’s how The Supernaturals were born. Join Teji and her friends on an unforgettable journey of discovery, where dreams become reality and God’s love knows no bounds.

Today, children are bombarded with the opportunity to embrace a supernatural realm that doesn’t come from God. The Supernaturals redresses the balance showing children that God’s power is superior to the devil’s counterfeits. Actually, it is a normal part of the Christian life. Hence the tagline, ‘God’s Power Isn’t Just for Grown-ups’.

Within the books I describe the gifts of the Spirit as superpowers, which indeed they are. Children are familiar with such concepts, so, it helps them to understand that they too can be a powerful influence in the world because God is working in them and through them.

In The Supernaturals, by Sarah Grace Publishing, children not only learn about God’s power but about the bridge of love over which this should always flow - the fruit of the Holy Spirit.

Each book contains further teaching and application. Such as, “super facts” and short Bible teachings, which engage children with the bigger picture of the Bible - including those who also had supernatural dreams. Ideal for children’s groups and outreach, The Supernaturals ends with the opportunity for children to join the team and give their life to Jesus.

‘The Supernaturals and the Miracle Dream’ is the first in this exciting new children’s book series with another releasing in Autumn. My prayer is that with The God Files in one hand and The Supernaturals in the other, children will be equipped and inspired to change the world for Jesus.
