"Benediction" means "a good word." This volume contains a collection of benedictions from throughout Scripture, appearing alongside the Biblical text itself, and worded for giving a word of blessing to both hearer and reader.

This collection is meant first as a resource to leaders who would like to broaden the benedictions they give their flocks at the end of a service or other time, exposing them to a wider variety of the hope and blessing offered throughout the Biblical books.

It is also intended as a personal devotion, allowing readers to meditate on the Scriptural text, and pray through the blessing that these words of the Lord either explicitly or inexplicitly pronounce on their lives. Though it is by no means an exhaustive collection of blessings found throughout the Bible, we trust that the selections of Scripture found in this small volume will indeed bless, encourage, and challenge the lives of the readers and recipients of each blessing
