This book is about courageous, confident, capable and awe-inspiring women in the Bible who made their mark in their family, community, country and humanity. They were all quite intelligent and knew what they were doing, although in certain situations some of them were absolutely uncompromising to their detriment. They had exceptional strength of character and were dauntlessly ready to take risks. Some had strong faith and trust in God, but others were epitomes of abject waywardness, wantonness and utter disobedience. They reacted differently to the situations they faced because of their unique characters. Despite the problems they faced or the circumstances in which they found themselves, they were resolute and determined in the courses of action they took.

Most of the women were quiet, kind, compassionate and merciful, but a few of them were egregiously truculent, wicked, cruel, devious and vicious. Some of the women fearlessly asserted themselves and fiercely fought for their rights in the hostile, male-dominated environment or the patriarchal society at that time. They were strong and influential figures who indisputably played remarkable and spectacular roles in biblical history. Some of these women made bold decisions in their lives, which were not only profoundly controversial but also indubitably unpopular. Some of them were adept schemers who plotted to gain the best advantage in intricately volatile situations. Centuries later these women are still objects of curiosity and interest.
