The Book of ACTS Bible Commentary by F.F. Bruce is part of The New International Commentary series on the New Testament. The Bible Commentary was written with the intention to provide students of Biblical studies a study resource that is both current with modern scholarship, yet still loyal to the original scriptures of God's word. The commentary series on the New Testament started in the late 1940s by an international team of new scholars. Since its beginning The New International Commentary has become popular and widely recognised with a mixture of students, pastors and scholars, as a resource for Biblical studies that is critical, yet orthodox within the evangelical Protestant tradition.
The Book Of Acts Bible Commentary is based on a thorough study of the original Greek text, yet still the introductions and expositions in the commentary contain a minimum of Greek reference. The commentary focuses on more textual aspects in the scripture, such as grammatical, textual and historical problems. In order to keep the commentary new and in time with contemporary scholarship the commentaries are revised or replaced as necessary. The Commentary uses footnotes, special notes and appendixes to display more technique aspects of the scripture.
