Whether we're sailing through rough seas or smooth waters, our only hope is to hold fast to Jesus. He is the anchor for our souls. The letter to the Hebrews was written over 1900 years ago and it was written to a group of Christians who were well aware of the Jewish practices of worship. They may have been considering returning to Judaism. That probably doesn't describe you today, but the main point of the letter is as vitally important now as it was then. Jesus is our great High Priest who has provided what no other priest of any religion ever could. The sacrifice of His sinless life makes forgiveness available to all who believe in Him as their Savior. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus and hold fast to Him. There is no one better
