The New Testament accounts of Jesus' birth are written so ambiguously, they're so passionately and deliberately vague, that upon closer examination, the "Christmas" narrative in the Gospels of Matthew and Luke comfortably describe Joseph as Jesus' biological father, to a Jew.

Exodus 6:20 sets up a Mosaic precedent for this. When Moses tells us in Exodus 6:20 a man wedded a woman and she gave birth to the child, and further fails to tell us the father "begat" the child, Moses was describing a biological relationship between father and child, regardless of how "virgin birth" this wording appears.
