We are going to be using the book with one of our church home groups.All members have enjoyed dipping into their book at home All of us are looking forward to the challenge of Revelation !!

This is a readable book that opens up the complex book of Revelation. It is especially good alongside the Bible Study Guide of the same name. I have been wanting to dig into this book of Revelation with greater understanding and I have found these two books a great help so far. I’m looking forward to completing the study.

I have always found Revelation a difficult book to get to grips with. Tom Wright’s book has given me a different view and a much better understanding. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to overcome any anxieties about studying Revelation.

This is an excellent book. Tom Wright uses his, obviously great, academic knowledge to write a book that is easy to read and follow for the non-academic reader. "Revelation for Everyone" make sense of what is, for most Christians, a difficult Biblical book to understand and shows how Revelation fits into God's entire creative/redemptive plan from the book of Genesis onwards . Tom Wright divides the text of Revelation into short, logical passages, each of which starts with his translation of that passage - although the reader may find it handy to have a Bible available to read Old Testament references used by Tom Wright to give a background to the Revelation text. The sections of commentary begin with a relevant contemporary story to illustrate a theme from the Biblical passage. Tom Wright cuts through to the key points each passage is making and what connection there may be to our current situation. The book can make uncomfortable reading for Christians living in the Western World and Tom Wright is not afraid to ask the reader difficult questions on contemporary life brought up by the text such as, "Should I be worried that my bank is a major investor in companies that work in parts of Latin America where labour laws are practically non-existent, allowing them to get away with virtual enslavement of local populations?" (on Revelation 13. 11-18 - the mark of the second monster). "Revelation for Everyone" is readable, explanatory and challenging. After reading Tom Wright's book I was inspired to read the entire book of Revelation through at one sitting.
