There is an increasing hunger among Catholics to study the Bible in depth and in a way that integrates Scripture with Catholic doctrine, worship, and daily life. "Second Corinthians" is the fourth of seventeen volumes in the "Catholic Commentary on Sacred Scripture (CCSS)", a new series that will cover the entire New Testament and interprets Scripture from within the living tradition of the Church. This volume, like each in the series, is supplemented by features designed to help readers understand the Bible more deeply and use it more effectively.

    The Good Book Stall

    Average rating of0.0

Another in the series Catholic Commentary on Sacred Scripture using the New American Bible, this volume contains the apparatus that the series has adopted to make it useful to Roman Catholics, not only as a study guide, but as a means to suitable prayer and as an aid to the use of the text in the Liturgy. A substantial but not an unwieldy book, it is attractively presented, and can be dipped into to tackle St Paul’s letter section by section, as it were. The sections end with ‘Reflection’ and ‘Application’ which seek to make scripture a practical help in the day to day – a valuable resource for any Christian.
