Phil brings out very good pointers that God wants us to understand, which are easily overlooked

God inspired the Bible for a reason. He wants us to read and be changed! Jesus was a radical, dangerous revolutionary who made big waves and powerful enemies. He was not killed for preaching pithy parables, but because he claimed to be King. Moore divides each of his five acts of the King and Kingdom life into Jesus’ words and Jesus’ deeds, so that we will not mistake Jesus for a mere lecturer in religious philosophy, but grasp that he is the-King-on-a-Mission and that he wants to enlist us as his glad and able followers! Phil Moore, congratulations on your faithful and dynamic work in these...... On the down-side, I wish Monarch in their publishing wisdom had opted for a more spacious layout and size format so that each copy doesn't suffer reading distress in the handling of this little volume. Most commentaries are (sadly are) dull. This reads with a pulse of Holy Spirit life! Most commentaries are for scholars. These are well suited for you and me! This just could be a new way of reading the Bible with fresh eyes. Brilliant! There will be 25 volumes in this Straight to the Heartseries , all at £8.99.
