Looking for a trusted guide to the book of Romans?

This study from R.C.Sproul brings a lifetime of wisdom and insight

You'll be equipped to read deep into God's word

Paul's epistle to the Romans has been influential at critical moments in church history: The conversion of Augustine in the early church; Influencing Martin Luther and John Calvin during the Protestant Reformation; Changing the lives of George Whitfield and John Wesley in the evangelical revival of the eighteenth century.

But it is not only those who have become leaders in the church who have been affected by the book of Romans; ordinary Christians have lived transformed lives as a result - up to the present day. One reason is because in Romans, Paul clearly sets out a theological framework for us to understand the Christian faith.

It is a comprehensive description of the way that God offers salvation to humankind - and it is 'Good News'.

    The Good Book Stall

    Average rating of0.0

This is a reprint of a commentary by the renowned theologian R. C. Sproul. As a firm believer in the doctrines of grace the author revels in the great themes of God’s sovereignty, man’s sinfulness and God’s free grace that we find in Romans. The author has managed to write a commentary that reads like a book. The explanation of one verse naturally leads to the next. As such this is an excellent book not only as a resource but also simply to read. As with all of R.C Sproul’s books, it is the model of clarity. He has the rare gift of making theology understandable, interesting and relevant. The book is also littered with helpful illustrations and anecdotes. Preachers will find many nuggets of gold here. One of the best features is that he regularly provides extended comments on key points. This applies to a wide range of topics ranging from justification by faith to capital punishment. The book of Romans has had a profound effect on the Christian church over the centuries. This book will help you see why. Highly recommended.
