Brokenness is a mystery that every true believer must seek to understand if he/she desires to remain relevant in the kingdom of God while on pilgrimage on the earth. A broken heart does not connote a perfect heart but a yielded heart. God ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8). Hence, God's definition of brokenness differs from what man calls it. God does not help a strong man. Only the one that has acknowledged his wormy-like nature can receive His help as it is written below: "Fear not, you worm Jacob, You men of Israel! I will help you, says the Lord and Your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel". (Isaiah 41:15 NKJV)This Book examines the lives of some few characters from the scripture that depict the lifestyle of brokenness and un-brokenness respectively. King Saul and Judas Iscariot as examples of unbroken men while King David and Peter the Apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ as examples of broken men respectively. The aim is to help us glean wisdom from their lives for our sojourn on earth as we press on to the mark of our high calling in Christ Jesus. Finally, as you read through, you will discover that brokenness is a mysterious key that has the capacity to unlock and access diverse possibilities in God ranging from entering the kingdom of heaven, attracting His presence, not being despised by God and becoming an abode for the Most High. Above all, we must become passionate about this kingdom lifestyle- the lifestyle of brokenness. We must depend on the Holy Spirit daily to make this our lifestyle by default. God bless you. SHALOM!
