    The Good Book Stall

    Average rating of0.0

Perhaps you don’t know Griggs & March's allegedly popular volumes, The Bible From Scratch,…. but you should!! Griggs's much-thumbed earlier volumes provide a basic trajectory of the movement in Scripture, presenting important themes, histories, personalities, and meanings of key terms. In much the same easy-to-follow fashion, this pairing now concentrate on individual portions of Scripture. This is singularly the most inspiring commentary on Genesis I have come across. It is layered with wisdom, content and much truthfulness… but is not an attractive proposition in the artwork, font, spacing or layout!! This title is replete with some of the most familiar and beloved stories from the Bible (Adam and Eve, Noah and the Flood, Sodom and Gomorrah, and Abraham and Isaac), Genesis also tells the story of God's creation of the universe. It is about beginnings--and thus is the perfect book to begin the expanded Bible from Scratch series. Includes seven study sessions & this offers any curious reader a wonderful guide to scriptures. Everyone can learn something from studying alongside Griggs & March. Despite being less known in the UK, I trust these large format titles gain a much wider exposure and success for the help they ensure in knowing our precious God of the Word.
