They were ordinary people, most would not make headlines in any other history book but God's. Yet the women of the Old Testament made critical choices that led to extraordinary results. Through faith and strong character they rescued their families, led people out of bondage, gave birth to kings and saved a nation. Each one demonstrates the far-reaching consequences of everyday actions.

There are twelve studies in this book covering: Sarah and Hagar, Miriam, Rahab, Ruth, Naomi, Hannah, Abigail, The Shunammite woman who uses her resources to help Elisha, Esther and finally a look at what makes a model wife.

This revised Lifebuilder Bible Study features additional questions for starting group discussions and for meeting God in personal reflection, together with expanded leader's notes and an extra 'Now or Later' section in each study.

This study was a good dip into the Old Testament for our group. We were able to find lessons for today from women who lived millenia before us and enjoyed excellent discussions from the questions. However, we addressed some of the ethical issues such as how to grow beyond a critical spirit (Miriam) by guarding our tongues, or how to comprehend God’s favour on Rahab who lied by drawing in a couple of "Integrity: Living the Truth" studies from the same LifeBuilder series.
