She was herself a glowing example of this, one who loved the Author and thus loved His word and treasured it up in her heart. We know from her sister Maria that she memorized all of the New Testament except the Book of Acts, all of the Minor Prophets, Isaiah, and all of the Psalms. After \"One Hour with Jesus,\" the rest of this book gives helpful aids and encouraging examples of diligent study of the Bible. Our Lord said, in John 5:39, \"Search the scriptures, for in them ye think ye have eternal life, and they are they which testify of me.\" \"And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning Himself.\" Luke 24:27 \"Sanctify them through thy truth.
