The peaceful nature of our calling and assignment as Christians must combine the gentleness of the dove with the cleverness of a serpent. The dove does not go round looking for trouble but the serpent won't be safely trampled upon. We're the offspring of The Lion of the tribe of Judah. Our heritage in Christ puts us in charge on earth and we are to shine the light of Christ to overcome the darkness of God's enemy everywhere we find ourselves. This worldwide crisis is an opportunity for the children of light show the power of God to our world instead of succumbing to the fear-mongering tactics of the enemy of God and the pandemic scare going in our communities. While we are to obey government rules concerning lockdown and the use of masks and sanitizers, we must not allow the spirit of fear to capture us along with the rest of the world."For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world-our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?" John 5:4, 5We are a different breed and we are put in the world as a major part of God's solution to the problem of the Devil in this world.
