Know Your Bible is a compact, concise, and easy-to-understand introduction to all 66 books of the Bible.

Reading the Bible can be a daunting task, especially if you've never done it before. All those different books, names and places. It can be hard to know where to begin.

Know Your Bible is ideal for new and established Christians who want to gain a better understanding of God's word, and how to read it. With a section for each of the 66 books of the Bible, George Knight and Paul Kent give readers key information like where and when it was written, and any unique or unusual features or ideas.

Key quotes and a ten-word synopsis outline the main themes of each book, followed by a more in-depth summary, all of which are under 100 words. For each book there's also a 'So What?' section, offering practical ways that you can apply the Biblical lessons to your own life.

Know Your Bible would be a fantastic resource for both adult and youth ministry, especially among new Christians or first-time Bible readers. The uncomplicated writing style and short chapters help to get to the heart of the story of scripture, drawing out eternal wisdom and practical guidance.

With insight, explanation and application from Genesis to Revelation, Know Your Bible uses the New International Version, American Standard Version and King James Version of the Bible.

Bought for someone new to the Bible and wanting concise explanations of each book. Those needing more in depth knowledge would have to search for a fuller version.

This was waste of money and to top it up I was very disappointed as I was expecting a proper book with cross exam scripture and references. I do not recommend the book.

A great book for any beginner believer in the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ. Basic walk through the whole gospel explored in over view. Allowing for a new believer to get started into gaining basic Bible knowledge to help them thereafter study on much more deeply in God's Word. In order to show oneself approved to Him. In line with scriptural instruction to us of obedience of us to Him, through obeying His Word in this study of Him. Thoroughly recommended as a start point to greater in depth studies for new believers young and old. If anyone is wanting to learn more of the truths behind the Bible. How we got the Bible and what it says within.

I'm still reading it. I didn't realise it's more for a young person but nevertheless I'm learning from it.

Very basic , most bibles have a similar book summary at the start of each book . From other reviews I expected more .

This book is fantastic - it completely takes away any reluctance to read the Bible for her of not getting/understanding it. I wish everyone could have a copy - it has inspired me to read even the most "dreaded" parts of the Old Testament because I know the gist of the chapter before I start.
