The Lion Book of the Bible is excellent, a wealth of knowledge and historical interest, and bringing the Word alive in all sorts of ways... a book well worth having, such a help and an ideal study guide to.

The Lion Handbook To The Bible is the Updated Fourth Edition with new text revisions, of what was called The New Lion Handbook to the Bible in its third edition. I see no need to re-write my review: everything I said in 2001 still stands, the further scholarship included just enhances still further an already superb book. When I was working as a bookseller we knew it as a nine to ninety title, or suitable for all ages, as it is so attractively put together. Nearly impossible to read through, you can open at any page and get interested, or use it as a reference book and look up a specific subject. So much information, in such a readable format, this new edition left me feeling really excited. Very suitable as a Gift book.
