    My son was given this and wasn't sure of it, so I picked it up and opened it at random, to get an impression. What I found was it saying for 2 Peter 1, 1-11 that we must "work to ensure our salvation or election" This is heresy. This is not what 2 Peter says, and it is completely wrong - salvation is through faith alone in Christ alone, as the Apostle Paul says,"it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast" Ephesians 2, 8-9. I am hugely disturbed tthat it seems Mcgrath is denying the very foundation of the gospel in this book.
