Egypt is a country of glamour, romance, mystery, terror and intrigue. Above all this, Egypt has fabulous wealth and glittering gold.

Ever since the invasion by Napoleon in the 1790s, and in 1922 the discovery of Tutankhamen's tomb in the Valley of the Kings, Egypt has caught the imagination of the world, in books, films and exhibitions.

Travel Through Egypt takes you to the land of the Pharaohs, either from your own home or in person, and allows you to walk through the biblical history of this fabled land.

In Travel Through Egypt, you are invited to walk with Abraham, Joseph, Moses, Jeremiah and the Holy Family of Mary, Joseph and Jesus, to discover the events which have shaped history and brought Egypt and the Nile Delta to the attention of the world.

    The Good Book Stall

    Average rating of0.0

I find this series of immense interest to an armchair traveller. How the publishers manage to pack so much information into a book easily slipped into a pocket never fails to amaze me. Of course I knew that Egypt was mentioned in the Bible, but must confess to being ignorant of many of the facts herein. Clive and Amanda Anderson clearly love Egypt and have a wide knowledge of all things Egyptian. With beautiful photography and clear maps and diagrams, they tell of its geography and climate, its history and relevance in the Bible. At the end of each section is travel information for those who are actual travellers, websites for detailed advice, even opening times of the various museums to help you plan your itinerary. The photograph of Princess Diana’s Factory for Alabaster caught my eye and sent me to Google. It appears that places are named to attract tourists! If you read through this book, it won’t be the only item that whets your appetite for more information.
