I have rewritten this from the original copy of Brother Lawrence's book. I read his book over 40 years ago and was greatly touched. This is a spiritual classic written in the sixteen hundreds. Brother Lawrence was a seventeenth-century Christian who had an amazing spiritual visitation at age eighteen. Within six years, he entered a monastery in Paris, where he worked as a cook. The last 40 years of his life, he entered into an amazing place of experiencing God's Divine Presence no matter what was happening around him! Such men as John Wesley and AW Tozer have highly recommended this book.
