A JOURNEY INTO THE REALITY OF GOD

The Burning Heart surprised me. It was a physical touch from God that set my heart aflame. I did not imagine it. I actually felt His touch. It shocked me so much that I knew I had to search it out and find out if it was a reality or if I was just imagining it. The first scripture I thought of was about the two disciples on the road to Emmaus. After Jesus was resurrected, He joined them on their walk. What He said to them made their hearts burn within them. Their burning hearts were just like mine!

The story of The Burning Heart begins with the disciples' discovery that Jesus' resurrection was real. They talked with Him while on the road to Emmaus. Jesus' disciples, like Peter, Mary Magdalene, Joanna, and Mary, were astonished at the news and rushed to the tomb to see for themselves if it was true.

A modern-day disciple, Oswald Chambers, preached about the reality of the resurrection in his book, My Utmost for His Highest. And the scriptures proclaim the reality of Christ and why His resurrection has changed the world.
