How can God possibly know what it's like to be a teenage girl? Can Livi Starling truly trust him with all of her life? Even the really tricky bits like dating boys and dealing with nasty new girls and whether her mother is in Heaven?

Determined to prove her devotion to Jesus, Livi is committed to converting as many people as possible, starting with her sister Jill who simply must be saved by the summer. If it will help win God's favour, she's even willing to break up with Joey-- although God will need to speak very clearly for THAT to happen.

Without giving the story away, possibly one of my favourite parts of the book is when you catch a glimpse of God’s heart and perspective for one of the characters who if she was real, I’d likely be busy judging and being annoyed by. In my opinion it’s a powerful provocation to see the best in others and a beautiful insight into how powerful Gods love is. That’s what I’m loving about this series - the way in which the author weaves profound truth into an entertaining story (I laughed out loud - a lot!) so that I’m left inspired without feeling preached at, or ‘oh that's where they wanted to shoe horn the gospel in….’ I would HIGHLY recommend this series as I’ve really enjoyed the time I’ve made so far to read them…onto the last one!
