For many young people life is dominated by the celebrity culture of our time and consists of getting and spending, of searching out every opportunity to grasp at a superficial happiness which never lasts. Such a lifestyle, coupled with peer pressure, seems appealing and exciting, especially as it appears to be lived by many celebrities.

We must show our young people that encountering Jesus and his call to live life to the full can bring true fulfilment and lasting happiness. Jesus needs to become to them the celebrity of all celebrities; the friend who never lets them down.

Called to Life enables young people to encounter Jesus in union with the Father, in the Word of God, in the community, in the Sacraments, in the Eucharist, in prayer, in loving others and in the Spirit-filled life.

This practical course meets the young people where they are. It includes briefing notes for catechists, prayers, activities and photocopiable resources for each session, plus plenty of sound advice.
