The first book Tough Talk – the True Stories of London Hard Men, Ex-bouncers and Debt Collectors was published in 2000 and is still available. When this latest book arrived, I felt compelled to read the first one as well. Both tell gritty stories of brutal behaviour and degradation as drug addiction takes its toll. These parts I found hard reading, as indeed they should be, but keep reading, as the coming of Christ into these lives gives the first-hand telling of the life transforming results. These men have all gone on to share their stories within the evangelistic outreach of the Tough Talk teams who speak at many events, reaching out to those who are in situations that they have been in themselves. Inspiring.
