This insightful look at one of Israel's unconventional Judges is good for group bible study and discussion, especially as some of Jones' assumptions should be challenged. Valuable lessons are brought out of Judges chapters 13-16 although Samson is shown to be neither very spiritual nor godly, despite being included in Hebrews chapter 11 as a great man of faith. Each chapter has a felicitous section on the person of Christ, setting his perfection and value to us against the chequered character of Samson. Questions are then given to put things into the perspectives of biblical and contemporary life.
