In this book the author takes us on a journey through her teenage and young adult life. As she does so, she explores the subjects of self harm, sexual purity, and human trafficking. She is honest and open about her life and loves, revealing her own mistakes and sin. What shines through is her love for God, and for those who have been exploited. She has a passion to help others and describes with feeling her contact with prostitutes in Liverpool and Thailand. Joy Farrington writes from the heart. Even though I could not agree with all she says and the advice she gives, I could not read this book without being moved. This is a book written by a vulnerable person who has chosen to lay bare her vulnerability for all to read. This is not a book to give to a teenager, but if you as an adult want to understand the mental pain and anguish that some go through in their teenage years then read this book.
