This book won the Enduring Light, Inspiration Category of the Illumination Awards 2021. It is a story of survival, even in the most incredulous situations. Ngozi Okike talks about how shocked she was to discover that her first name revealed the circumstances surrounding her birth. She had survived abortion, following all of her mother's crude attempts to terminate her pregnancy. The fact of her being born without any abnormalities is a mystery that Ngozi finds amazing. She believes it was God that protected and kept her alive in her mother's womb for a purpose. She also shares her experiences as a teenager in the Nigeria/Biafra war, and how she escaped abduction, rape, and murder, through her father's act of bravery. She narrowly escaped murder by armed robbers when she was heavily pregnant with their first child, causing her to go straight into labour, and she gave birth to their son in circumstances that could only be described as most traumatic. She recalls how she almost lost the child. The book reveals the challenges of motherhood, and the near escapes from death of her children. She also provides a breath-taking account of how she left four young children behind in Nigeria in search of the golden fleece in the UK, and how through what could be described as her error of judgment and human injustice, it appeared that her dreams, hopes and aspirations were shattered. In The Greatest Debtor to His Love and a Trophy of His Grace, Ngozi provides a detailed account of what injustice in a hostile academic environment looks like, and how tears eluded her, when it would have brought her the greatest relief she needed at the time. She describes how she saw herself as the stone that was rejected by builders, which later became the head of the corner. God turned what appeared to be a hopeless situation around. She and her family had to relocate from the South West to the North East of England, where they started a new lease of life. Following the spillover of the experience she had encountered in the South of England, it wasn't long before the same ugly hostile environment manifested again. Ngozi describes how she triumphed over obstacles and challenges, and turned them into steppingstones. In this book, she looks over her life and believes that she owes God a depth of gratitude that is unquantifiable, hence the title of the book. She sees herself as the woman in the Bible, who broke her Alabaster Box and poured oil on Jesus' head and wiped His feet with her hair. Ngozi writes with authentic honesty and passion, which allows the reader to see the story in one's minds eye. It is her testimony of the constancy of God's love and His ability to save and deliver even in the most impossible situations. It is a book that encourages one never to give up on one's dreams and aspirations even in the face of persecution no matter how long it takes. It is a compelling read, both in style and content. The book is stranger than fiction; real and captivating; highly inspirational and challenging. It unlocks the secrets for overcoming obstacles and challenges, and contains the keys for WINNING in life. Find out more about Ngozi's dramatic and eventful life, as you read this book, which provides detailed insights into the mystery behind her miraculous and extraordinary life, portraying the unquestionable and undeniable faithfulness of God, and His ability to save and deliver, especially in the most hopeless situations. The book reveals the secret behind her unquenchable passion for God and why she describes herself as THE GREATES DEBTOR TO HIS LOVE AND A TROPHY OF HIS GRACE.If you need a miracle or breakthrough in your life, this book will help you to understand and appreciate that with God all things are possible. Weeping only endures for the night, but surely joy comes in the morning. God makes all things beautiful in His time for those who put their trust in Him.
