Mountain Rain tells of his lonely treks, harsh conditions and increasing awareness that his own and his supporters prayers were of prime importance to the growth of Christianity in the region. So often ahead of his time in his thinking, he insisted that the infant church be self supporting from the very beginning, so that when missionaries were forced to leave the country at the onset of the communist revolution, not only would the Christians stand fast in their faith, they died for it in great numbers.
