Two young women never dreamed of the dangers that lay before them as they attended a short-term missions school in Switzerland. As they sought God they began to sense a burden for the isolated nation of Albania.
This volume, formerly part of YWAM's International Adventures series, was first published in 1976 by then Reona Peterson. The author and a friend, Evey Muggleton (now Evey Muggleton Heckman) smuggled scriptures into Albania during a ten-day tour of that country in 1973. Apprehended, they were threatened, interrogated, and expelled.
In the 1970s its leaders boasted that theirs was the only completely atheistic nation in the world. Closed to almost all outsiders, Albania particularly wanted no contact with Christians. Preaching the Gospel was punishable by death. Willing participants in God's plan, yet unsure of how He would lift their burden,Reona and Evey took the first small steps of faith.
