    The Good Book Stall

    Average rating of0.0

With a presentation page in the front of the book, this is ideal as a gift for any occasion or none. The only reason necessary is that a young person should receive a very special book that can be read on their own or together with the family. The Bible is broken down into short passages telling the stories of such as Noah, Abraham, Moses and Joseph in the Old Testament and John the Baptist, Jesus and the Apostles in the New Testament. A quick glance at the contents page will show you how this works out. The storytelling is excellent, so much so that I find it hard to believe this book will be read in the short passages prescribed! The bright, sometimes almost gaudy, colours in books of Bible stories for young children are here replaced by much more subdued colouring, but also more ‘adult’ portrayal of the scenes described. I had great pleasure looking through the book at the illustrations alone, easily recognising the stories they portrayed. The picture on the cover is a fine example.
