The Bible features many stories of heroes and leading characters with stories with which we are all familiar. There are also other supporting characters who we perhaps pay less attention to. This book looks at twelve Old Testament characters including Hur, Obadiah, Josiah, Meshach and Baruch. While being less familiar with these characters, we are accustomed to their stories and they are re-told in a captivating and lively way. Each story tells of God?s amazing plans and provision and each person?s trust in allowing the Lord to use them where they were. These are fascinating character studies and while clearly intended for youth groups (each of the twelve chapters has study questions to reinforce learning), many of us could learn a lot from reading through these short chapters and seeing the example they leave us with. Highly Recommended.
