This title is suitable for children of ages 10 to 14 years. Christmas is coming! Along with the excitement, life holds its challenges for the Beech Bank Girls. Holly faces the reality of financial crisis at home; Rachel is worried about her sister; a sledging incident shakes the girls - and a very different nativity play brings home the true meaning of Christmas. Family, friendship and faith issues - the Beech Bank Girls face them together in this, their third book.

    The Good Book Stall

    Average rating of0.0

The six friends tell the story from their own perspective as in the previous books. Holly has returned from her fabulous holiday in Australia to unexpected family problems. In fact, as in real life, each girl has problems of one sort or another, all helped by the group of friends, and Sadie & Ron the leaders of the Beech Bank church youth club who help them to put their trust in a loving God. The chapter names give a hint of what is to come, but Eleanor manages to weave into the stories all sorts of issues that young people meet these days, while still writing a thoroughly good and enjoyable read, and the final pages brought tears to my eyes.
