    The Good Book Stall

    Average rating of0.0

Set in Lebanon at the time of the civil war in the 1980s, this is the story of Lamia and her family. Lamia is a Maranite Christian but has no deep knowledge of her faith. When her brother is betrayed to the fighters in the nearby Palestinian refugee camp she is filled with hatred. Almost immediately she finds a tiny Moslem boy below his dead mother and forms a deep love for the child and insists on keeping him and looking after him. As the story unfolds there are factual descriptions of what it was like to live in the midst of the fighting, and the various characters are drawn with very believable accuracy. A very human story of love and a blossoming faith in Christ.
