This DVD version of the It's a Boy! book took three years to complete, and was the idea of a man called Steve Legg who heads up The Breakout Trust. The film was distributed free to 26,000 primary schools in the UK after its Odeon Leicester Square premiere in 2005.     Gentle telling of the Christmas story from the point of view of three quails. Cannon and Ball do the comedy voice-overs very well. In fact all the actors sound perfect for the animation. Although the nativity presentation is a bit jumbled (wise men in the stable?) it brings a smile. They may be a bit out of place but it is good to hear English accents in a Bible film. A real treat. Also nice to hear Sir Cliff Richard singing the final song. The running time of 29 minutes is short enough to show in one Sunday school lesson while many other children's films have to be used over two weeks so that is a definite plus. Most enjoyable.
