For parents of Children in primary school
This book offers ways to encourage and support for your children
You'll understand more of the worries children have, and how to meet them there
So your child has mixed feelings about primary school - they're full of expectation but this feeling is tinged with a dash of trepidation. You've told them about how much fun they'll have, but there are other things to think about beyond the new friends they'll discover, the new skills they'll learn and the fun activities they'll take part in.
There are things like boasters to deal with, yukky loos to be endured and rules to be obeyed. All these things and much, much more are covered in a sensitive way by Nick Harding, and you'll enjoy reading this book with your children as and when the needs arise.
From Abilities to Zig-Zag lines, passing though Bullying, Dinners, Kissing, Homework, Trouble and many other big issues, this collection of thoughts and tips helps children not only survive primary school but also helps them make the most of it. Great book for dipping in with mum and dad, as and when the needs arise. All aimed at promoting positive attitudes so that each child looks upon their place of education as a Superschool.
Nick Harding has been involved in schools for many years as a teacher, leader of assemblies, and latterly as an inspector of church schools. He works for the Church of England in Southwell, Nottinghamshire, and has written a number of books and resources for working with children and young people both in school and in church. He is a speaker and leader of all-age worship at Spring Harvest, and speaks at conferences and events throughout the country. Nick lives in Mansfield with his wide Clare, a teacher, and their two sons.
