    The Good Book Stall

    Average rating of0.0

This collection of daily readings would be helpful for any believer, but I think it is especially valuable for those near the beginning of their journey. The format for each of the forty sections is a selection of Biblical passages, followed by a personal comment from the author, then a 'spiritual activity' to connect the reading to our everyday lives and finally a prayer. The topics are those that the author feels are essential for survival and include things like learning to let go, how to deal with the excess baggage we carry and the distractions on the way, such as fear and insecurity. I like the fact that it can be used by individuals or by small groups. This is a practical, non-preachy and insightful book.
