Florence Hobart Perin published the original text of The Optimist's Good Morning in 1907. She felt the need for a book that might help people "start out to do the work of the day with hope and courage." Our need to start the day that way now is just as strong. Our lives are no less busy-probably more so. The world is no less chaotic-definitely more so.

Just as the original author reminded her readers in 1907, none of today's preoccupations or responsibilities take the place of God. Instead, they remind us how very much we need Him. Taking time each day to be with Him, to gain much-needed perspective on this world and His kingdom, is so very important.

This version of the book is updated with more modern language, features the addition of Scripture, and includes space for notes.
