A book dealing with many very real issues that our little ones face in the run up to Christmas! Natalie is desperate both to star as Mary in the Christmas play and also to be given a Purple Princess Castle (as seen on TV) for Christmas when her parents have already brought her another gift and say they cannot afford it. The author describes Natalie's emotions and process in a beautifully simple but very real and believable way. At the end Natalie has a beautiful revelation of who Jesus is - not after being 'told', but after a personal journey which ends with a truly changed heart position, and a recognition of 'it's not all about me.... or all about a princess castle.... but all about Jesus'. We have read this at totally the wrong time of year but will be getting it out again and again. A really lovely book.
