This is the second part of The Pilgrim's Progress. The first part involves The Pilgrim leaving his wife and children, risking everything to get to the heavenly city. This, the second part, tells of how his wife and children follow to join him there.

As with the first book, this sequel is a written adventure through the Christian life. If you haven't yet read Christiana's story, then you have before you a new set of challenges to overcome as Christian's wife and children travel to the heavenly city.

Bunyan's imaginative text brings out the practical and necessary lessons everyone needs to know.

Additional features, including study sections, are included to help today's generation understand the book. There is also a 'life summary' of Bunyan as well as ideas on how to use the book. Some of the archaic words have been changed to modern equivalents, but there are footnotes and a dictionary to assist with others.

This means that while Christiana and her family talk like the medieval characters they are, you can still understand what they're saying.

    The Good Book Stall

    Average rating of0.0

Sadly not so well known as the story of Christian’s pilgrimage of faith: this story, is of his wife and children following in his footsteps, The telling of their story gives a wonderful impression of passing time as the ever increasing party of pilgrims, linger at different stages of the journey. The four young boys are at marriageable age before the end of the book, so that when Christiana is sent for, to cross the river to the Celestial City, her sons, their wives and children, remain behind to people the land and spread the gospel. As in the first book, many curiously named people good and bad either help or hinder them, and they hear many stories of Christian’s previous trials and tribulations. Presented in the same format as Pilgrim’s Progress published by CF4Kids, with an unusual type and wonderfully descriptive black and white illustrations which are reproductions from various 19th Century artists. A classic
