LETTERS TO KATIE continues Kathleen Fuller’s ‘Middlefield Family’ Amish series with references what occurred in the first two books, ‘Treasuring Emma’ and ‘Faithful to Laura’. In this instalment, you’ll enjoy getting to know Katie and her one time childhood sweetheart, Johnny Mullet.

Although Johnnie means to court Katie openly once his ranch is a success, he may have left it too late. Katie is plagued with severe headaches and dizziness which eventually land her in hospital and unable to remember how she got there. Injured and vulnerable she stirs something in Johnny. But is it love or guilt that compels him to spend time with her while she heals.

Soon Johnny’s heart begins to question whether Katie even remembers who he is. As Katherine struggles to recall memories of Johnny, a surprise visitor arrives a man named Isaac who claims they had been writing letters to each other, even considering marriage, before her illness. Now there are two men vying for her attention and their place in Katies unreliable memory.

Katherine feels divided in two with no idea which way to turn. The answer that might restore the unity of her heart and mind may lie behind a mysterious door she never considered opening. Full of detail about the Amish way of life and the strength of a community built on faith and family values, Katie’s story is witness to what happens when people refuse to let God guide their lives and try to do it themselves.

Kathleen Fuller was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas, and now lives in Geneva, Ohio. Married to James for 15 years they have three children, three dogs, and an overwhelmed cat. They have also raised cattle, pigs, and chickens at various times over the years and would have gone into the goat business... but had to draw the line somewhere. Kathleen started writing in 2000, and published her first short story a year later. Since then she has writtem short stories, novellas, novels, and freelance non-fiction work.

Everything changed between them the first time he called her Katie.

Katherine Yoder has loved Johnny Mullet since they were children, but he never actively returned her affections. Like so many things in their world, he assumes Katherine will always be there. Once his horse farm is a success, then he will court her in earnest.

For several weeks, Katherine has been plagued by severe headaches and dizziness. While resting at home, Johnny unexpectedly visits, but when dizziness strikes, she loses consciousness. She awakens hours later in a hospital bed, unable to remember how she got there.

Seeing Katherine injured and vulnerable stirs something in Johnny, and his guilt compels him to spend time with her while she heals. Soon his heart begins to stir with questions: Does she even remember why he’d come to her house that day?

As Katherine struggles to recall recent memories of Johnny, a surprise visitor arrives in her already unsteady world – a man named Isaac who claims they had been writing letters to each other, even considering marriage, before her illness.

With two men vying for her attention and her memory still elusive, Katherine has never felt so divided. The answer may lie behind a door she never considered opening. 320 pages
