The baby kidnapped and recovered in Dawn’s Prelude is now a grown and personable young man with younger half sisters. Daniel and his family live happily on Sitka Island in the Alaska only newly purchased from Russia. The US government is beginning to take control and send officials to live on the island – times are changing. Phoebe is the daughter of a man who works for the newly appointed governor and from the somewhat unfortunate initial meeting of the pair, a strong attraction is obvious. Morning’s Refrain is the story of Daniel discovering his abusive family background and Phoebe adapting to an entirely new way of life. There are many twists and turns to the story until its heart warming end. Thoroughly enjoyable. Series now available as a boxed set for £22.99, ISBN 978-0-764-29466-2

This is a gentle story, told with warmth and intrigue. I found it easy reading and couldn't wait to continue every time I had to put it down. I would gladly recommend this book to fans of romantic novels, although there is more than just this theme to the story, as other issues are explored and dealt with as the characters have to come to terms with choices that they must make in life, for good or bad. Most enjoyable!
