    The Good Book Stall

    Average rating of0.0

A very satisfying thick paperback, an imaginitive re-telling and something to really get your teeth into, I enjoyed this account of the life of Saint Francis from the very first page. Written in the form of a novel this is nonetheless an accurate account – as far as we can know it – of this saint’s life and death. Edward Hays has brought to life the medieval people who surrounded Francis throughout his life, and Francis himself, dominates the story. This tale, told with such skill, stimulates our own imaginations and understanding. Excellent.
