‘Captives’, by bestselling author Jill Williamson, is the gripping opener to a fantasy dystopian series about a young man’s quest to expose the truth and save his loved ones.

November 17th 2087, the world is recovering from a plague which decimated the earth and ravaged human-kind. The Safe Lands have been a place of refugee and security for generations, but is it also a place of containment?

The people who are infected live a lavish, comfortable, but short life in within the walls of the Safe Land, with everything thing they could wish or ask for. While those unaffected live in primitive towns on the other side. So when the disease mutates and becomes uncontrollable the uninfected become the new targets, as the desperate believe they may be the cure.

Eighteen year old Levi desperately searches for his fiancée, Jem, who’s been captured and caught up in the evil plots and plans of the Safe Lands façade. Can Levi uncover the truth and save his love before it’s too late?

Based on the first chapter of Daniel, this exciting teen fiction is nothing short of thrill-ride. If you enjoyed the ‘Left Behind’ series, or ‘Swipe’ – ‘Captives: The Safe Lands’ is awaiting your undivided attention.

About the Author

Jill Williamson is a novelist, dreamer, and believer. She grew up in Alaska with no electricity, an outhouse, and a lot of mosquitoes. Thankfully it was the land of the midnight sun, and she could stay up and read by the summer daylight that wouldn’t go away. But the winter months left little to do but daydream. Both hobbies set her up to be a writer.

Her debut novel, By Darkness Hid, won an EPIC Award, a Christy Award, a Carol Award nomination, and was named a Best Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror novel of 2009 by VOYA magazine. Jill has served alongside her youth pastor husband for the past twelve years and loves working with teenagers, especially to encourage young writers. She gives writing workshops at libraries, schools, camps, and churches.
