Medical Error by Richard L. Mabry M.D is the second book in the Prescription For Trouble Series.

Medical Error is the story of Dr. Anna McIntyre. Anna's life was going along just fine until someone else started living it. Her patient died because of an identity mix-up; her medical career is in jeopardy because of forged prescriptions; and her credit is in ruins. Anna thought that things couldn’t get worse, but that was before she opened the envelope and saw a positive HIV test with her name on it.

Her allies are two men who are also competing for her affection. Dr. Nick Valentine is a cynic who carries a load of guilt. Attorney Ross Donovan is a recovering alcoholic. The deeper Anna digs to discover who’s behind the identity thefts the higher the stakes. Finally, when her life is on the line, Anna finds that her determination to clear her name might have been a prescription for trouble.

Medical Error is action-packed medical fiction full of mystery written by experienced practitioner Richard L. Mabry M.D.

    The Good Book Stall

    Average rating of0.0

This book came recommended on the back of the reputation of a book in the same series; The Prescription for Trouble Series, and they were not wrong. I very much enjoyed this story. It had a good balance of suspense and romance to my liking. Although set in a medical environment it is not over jargonised nor unrealistic, although the story was more akin to a John Grisham novel and was entertaining to read. At some points in the book I actually felt Mabry had been clever in his writing which left me a’gasp until I had read on further to see that I had been diverted off the scent. The book felt shorter than the average length book but I think that this was helped by the fact that the chapters were broken up by scene breaks which were quite handy if I was really tired or short on time and I couldn’t indulge in a full chapter. I liked this book and would definitely read more of Mabry’s books.
