OVERCOMING is a theme that runs through much of Barbara's writing. Her first book Praying with Authority and Power, a manual on spiritual warfare, was first published in 2004. The revised and updated version was published in 2020. Her book, The Overcomer's Handbook of Kingdom Proclamations, was published in 2018. As an intercessor and prayer leader, Barbara has served in different roles with Aglow International and Generals International. As a governmental intercessor, she has had "boots on the ground" with the Capitol Hill Prayer Partners in Washington, DC for over 28 years. Barbara's personal calling to impart truth that liberates and empowers has taken her on assignments as far away as the bush country of central Ghana. Her own ministry, Kingdom Rising Ministries, was incorporated as a non-profit organization in January 2011. Barbara, recently widowed, still lives in the house she and her husband, Jim, built in the Washington, DC area 36 years ago. Barbara stays in touch with her 3 children and 6 grandchildren via zoom and texting.
